Come and Have a Kentucky Fall With Me

The hot humid air has breathed in your face for too long.

Come and have a Kentucky fall with me.

You can hold my hand for a walk in the park,

And kiss me as we pass the trees,

Or laugh at the marshmallow smeared across my face.

Our glasses will fog over our lattes together.

And we will smell fresh cut grass and smoking fires.

You can pour beer in my chili, and I will burn your apple pie.

I can wear your sweatshirt, and you can wear my snuggles.

Let’s read books, and crumple leaves, and love autumn together.
